The Path of Le Tese is the oldest connecting road between the villages of the Sorrento Peninsula and Positano. Path almost unknown to hikers, it is a suggestive mule track suspended between the mountain and the sea, surrounded by the Mediterranean maquis, the only road for farmers and traders until the first half of the nineteenth century.
During the two world wars, it was crossed by troops, but not only. The farmers used it as a real trade route, based on the dairy products of Vico Equense and the fish of the Amalfi villages, but also salt, wedding trousseaux, cigarettes.
Natural balcony overlooking Positano, the path begins to the west of the church of Santa Maria del Castello, in the highest hamlet of Vico Equense. It descends between arrow bends, cobbles and stairways, from which we could admire its splendid views.
Trentaremi, a company born from the enthusiasm of some friends in love with their land, tells the beautiful Campania territory through trekking routes and environmental interpretation, combining the desire for knowledge with the pleasure of walking.
