Experience an unusual trekking route, with a high landscape value, discovering Positano as you’ve never seen it!
A walk in the nature that will allow you to climb the hill to admire and cross one of the symbolic points of this magical place, that is Montepertuso. It is a hole dug in the rock, heir to an ancient legend and whose discovery has also given the name to the homonymous hamlet of Positano.
The meeting point is in Montepertuso, where you will return at the end of the experience thanks to an internal bus that will pick you up in the upper part of Positano, where the trail ends. Along the trail there is also a break.
It’s a unique experience for trekking lovers but also for those who don’t want to miss a breathtaking view reaching the highest points, or for those who want to learn how to listen, know and understand nature. The guide will also retrace the history and the unique architecture of this pearl of the Amalfi Coast and will explain how it fits into a natural context such as the valley that hosts it.
The circular route of excursionist level includes an immersion in the coastal vegetation, crossing the pine forests of Aleppo pine overlooking the sea, and passing below the beautiful cliffs of Positano. The cliffs are rocky coasts with sheer walls, beaten directly by the sea or separated from it by a beach.
Cartotrekking was founded in 2011, with the dream of building a team of environmental hiking guides, all lovers of trekking and mountain experts.
The guides are native Italian speakers but also fluent in English and Spanish.
They have been living these places forever, guiding tourists for ten years along the paths of the Amalfi Coast and the Peninsula of Sorrento, so the team has a detailed knowledge of the area and juggles the trails without any problem. Composed of experts in forest ecology and botany, Cartotrekking is also involved in territorial promotion through the study of cartography and further regional analysis, creating thematic maps for hikers and others.
This particular route will be guided by Michele Inserra, an A.I.G.A.E. qualified guide.
