In 1948, when Italy was recovering from the Second World War, Giovanni Russo founded a winery in the small town of Trecase at the foot of the Vesuvius, perfect place for cultivation thanks to the sun and the sea. The wine was transported on horse-drawn carriages and sold to small shopkeepers. His son Maurizio helped his father as a worker in the business and at some point decided to open their wineries to tourists, increasingly curious to enter. Since then the business has grown more and more.
The Russo family for three generations now produces organic wine within the Vesuvius National Park. Today the winery is one of the most visited in southern Italy.
