We are almost there… Napoli is on the verge of winning the 2022/2023 Serie A Scudetto! At last, the coveted title is on its way, and the city of Naples is getting decked out in every neighborhood, from the suburbs to the heart of the historic center.
In fact, walking around the streets of Naples is all a riot of flags, banners, ribbons and streamers, all strictly blue. If you want to experience the magic of an event that has been awaited for 33 years, you should definitely join this guided tour that will take you through the most picturesque places in the city center to savor the festive atmosphere that has been raging for weeks.
The meeting point is in Piazza del Plebiscito, and from here we will move to the first stage, which starts in the Spanish Quarter. On the stairs of Vico Colonne in Cariati you’ll find the curious installation featuring cardboard boxes of Napoli players arranged along the steps. It went viral on social in just a few days and is one of the funniest symbols of the Scudetto celebrations.
Also in the Quarters you will be able to find another small attraction, namely the small miniature Vesuvius that they have placed between Piazzetta Maradona and Via Nuova Santa Maria Ognibene. With a pennant to represent the third shield, the volcano is able to create a mock eruption.
Next you will move back to Piazza del Plebiscito, and then go to take the subway to Via Toledo. Toledo Station is one of the most beautiful and picturesque in Naples, with the remains of the Aragonese walls and Pompeian-style blue mosaic decorations. You will get off at the Mostra d’Oltremare stop and walk to the Diego Armando Maradona Stadium.
