A fiction with Elena Sofia Ricci as Laura Ruggero, the protagonist of Live and let live.

The story of Laura, according to the director Pappi Corsicato, is inspired by the historical and famous character of Filomena Marturano, a woman always willing to put herself on the line but above all ready to turn her life around.

Naples: the perfect place for this series

At the beginning of the first episode we immediately see our protagonist Elena Sofia Ricci, returning from a trip, which, judging by his expressions, seems to have had a rather dramatic outcome. What, then, is the location in which the entire series is set?

According to Pappi Corsicato, Naples was the perfect place to set this series, not only because of the origins of the director himself but also because of the goal of revealing hidden sides of the mysterious city of Naples.

The choice to set the series right in Naples is also due to the dynamism that this city offers, which with its constant change, perfectly reflects the protagonist, Laura.

However Naples is not the only location in this series. In fact, Tenerife is another key location in the fiction, being the refuge of the husband of Laura, Renato. Many scenes, however, were shot in Ostia, in the Latium, for technical and practical reasons.

Payback: Laura's idea and her sartù

The main purpose of this new series is to send a message to viewers: it is possible for everyone to have a second chance but more importantly to improve their present in order to have a better future.

This is exactly what he is trying to do Laura, our protagonist, who every day puts herself on the line and fights for herself and her family of three children, trying to set a good example for them, despite the oftentimes disapproval of the kids who sometimes do not fully understand her choices. What exactly does the protagonist do to put herself back on the line?

At a time of financial crisis, Laura, who previously worked in a canteen, decided to reinvent himself, and set up his own business, offering customers one of his tastiest dishes: the rice sartù.

With the help of relatives, friends and acquaintances from the past, she manages to realize this dream. So what are the places where Laura's story unfolds?

Thanks to new technologies and thus the use of drones, there are spectacular shots all over the Naples, with the impressive Vesuvius that encompasses the whole gulf but not only. Also the Management Center has been filmed many times, being the place where Laura and her colleagues work to sell the famous rice sartù.

Another key place is the Waterfront Caracciolo, as well as the hill of Posillipo and Bagnoli. Finally, a place explicitly desired by the director in order to represent Naples in all its many facets, are the well-known tuff quarries.

Walking with Laura Ruggero

Let yourself be carried away by the wonderful landscapes of Naples and explore it too as our beloved Elena Sofia Ricci, aka Laura Ruggero!

Moving from the Management Center, alas, you will not find the famous cart with the sartù by Laura But it is definitely a starting point for this little walk.

The Management Center is close to the Garibaldi central station, from which, by taking public transportation, you can get to the places we suggest. Yes, even taking public transportation to Naples is a real rite of passage to be able to immerse yourself in the local culture, but most importantly, you can visit one of the most beautiful subway stations inEurope, the Toledo station.

From Management Center walk for about 10 minutes to reach the Garibaldi station, and, taking line 1, you will arrive at Toledo station.
