For example, the capital <strong>Bari <\/strong>has made the train station and airport accessible to people with disabilities, as well as major monuments, including the Basilica of St. Nicholas, the Swabian Castle, the Cathedral of San Sabino and the Provincial Art Gallery.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The historic center itself, i.e. Bari Vecchia, offers an accessible route for those with mobility disabilities, while for those with visual impairments there is a \"light path\" that allows them to explore the heart of Bari safely.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Salento is also committed to this, and the same <strong>Lecce<\/strong> is increasingly accessible, thanks to a wheelchair-accessible itinerary that includes the Cathedral, Porta Napoli, Piazza S. Oronzo, the Carmine Church, the Convent of the Theatines and the Castle of Charles V.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Instead, by going outside the city, people with disabilities can enjoy the Cesine oasis, the <strong>Rauccio Park<\/strong> and of the many equipped beaches that now ensure complete accessibility for all. Other accessible routes can be found in many Salento localities, including Ostuni, Otranto and Gallipoli.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Spiagge_e_strutture_ricettive_accessibili_ai_disabili\"><\/span><strong>Beaches and accommodations accessible to people with disabilities<\/strong><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Getting around on the sand in a wheelchair or with prosthetics is very difficult for people with disabilities, but fortunately there are several shorelines that are designed precisely to facilitate the '<strong>accessibility to the sea<\/strong> for such people. Generally, such beaches are provided with safe sidewalks that allow people to reach the shoreline without any problems, and the car parking spaces themselves are positioned in a way that gives more comfort to those who need more space to get out of their vehicles.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Ramps with non-slip are essential to get to areas used for toilets, locker rooms, showers and whatnot. Speaking of showers, they usually feature grab bars and supports so you can wash up safely.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To have opened up to the<strong>inclusiveness<\/strong> toward the disabled have not only been beach lidos, but also hotels, hotels, and accommodations that are almost always equipped with ramps for wheelchair access.
