The initiative was created with the aim of celebrating the contribution of women in history, culture, the arts and contemporary society, offering everyone the opportunity to enjoy cultural experiences in spaces rich in artistic and archaeological heritage. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This extraordinary opening is in addition to the <strong>free Sundays at state museums<\/strong>, but is devoted exclusively to the enhancement of women's role in the national cultural heritage.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Perche_si_celebra_la_Festa_della_Donna\"><\/span>Why Women's Day is celebrated<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The <strong>Woman's Day<\/strong>, celebrated on March 8, was born out of women's long struggle for the <strong>civil, political and social rights<\/strong>.
