About this activity

Are you preparing your next school trip, but don't know where to take your students? Don't panic! Book the cooking workshop on educational farm. The estate opens its doors to schools for an educational and fun experience designed to help youngsters discover the agricultural world and the traditional italian cuisine. The course, lasting about 3 hours, is ideal for elementary and middle school children, combining hands-on activities, creative workshops and playful learning moments.
This pathway offers a'experience complete that stimulates curiosity, manual dexterity and spatial awareness. Through interactive activities and hands-on workshops, students can develop sensory and motor skills by manipulating ingredients and doughs, learning about agriculture, where food comes from and the seasonality of produce, discovering farm life and respect for animals.
Upon arrival, students are greeted with a snack offered by the farm, agreed together with the teachers. This time serves not only to refresh, but also to create a pleasant and convivial atmosphere, ideal for introducing the young guests to the day and making them feel at ease right away.
After the snack, the children explore theteaching garden of the farm and delve into the secrets of farming. The focus is particularly on the wheat: from planting to harvesting, from processing into flour to use in cooking workshops. This experience stimulates curiosity, teaches observation of natural cycles and helps to understand the origin of food in a practical and engaging way.
Students can then choose from four workshops practical and creative:
Dumpling class: a cooking workshop in which children learn to knead and shape dumplings, developing coordination, manual dexterity and a sense of rhythm. It is the perfect activity to combine fun and sensory learning;
Create your own pizza: children become little pizza makers, preparing their own pizza with fresh, selected ingredients picked directly from the farm. The experience teaches them the importance of food quality and stimulates their imagination in creating flavors and combinations.
Taralliamo: workshop to create tarallini flavored with medicinal plants grown on the farm. Children discover natural scents and flavors, learn how to manipulate dough and respect the rules of traditional cooking;
Visiting animals: Accompanied by a farm worker, children have the opportunity to get up close and personal with animals, understand their behavior and participate in hands-on activities such as feeding and daily care. This time develops empathy, responsibility and an awareness of respect for living things.
The cooking workshop and farm visit course is a unique and comprehensive activity that combines learning, fun and discovery. Students experience the agricultural reality firsthand, develop practical and sensory skills, and create unforgettable memories. In short, a day of curiosity, of the creativity and of the nature, designed to enrich school education with concrete and stimulating experiences.
Don't waste time and come and have this amazing experience with your class!

    Not to be missed

    Nice to have a choice of different workshops! Our pupils opted for dumplings and turned into real chefs. The quality of fresh ingredients and hands-on approach are the real strengths. Highly recommended.

    The trail is well structured: the children followed the wheat cycle, visited the garden and learned about animals. It was an excellent way to connect them with nature and understand the origin of what we eat. Very educational and engaging.
