Beautiful beach of soft golden sand miles long, hemmed in by maquis and by beautiful ancient olive trees in the heart of the coastal stretch of the Cilento National Park and the Diano Valley. The sea that washes the beach of Ascea Marina is enchanting, blue, crystal clear, and transparent, with sandy, sloping seabed, ideal for swimming and bathing.
The sandy beach of the Gulf of Velia starts from the cliff of Telegraph Point and reaches up to the Port of Casal Velino Marina, passing through the territory of Velia.
At one end the sandy shore culminates in a small inlet bordered by the majestic cliffs of Punta del Telegrafo, whose profile is characterized by striking coves, hidden inlets and behind which are Silver Bay and Swallow Bay, reachable only by sea. At the southern end of the Marina settlement, on the other hand, there are dune formations in which, from July to September, the beautiful sea lily, which is protected by a harvest ban, blooms. All that remains is to take a dip!
Of extraordinary beauty is the coast, characterized by an enchanting sandy shore (as many as 7 km of beach) with coarse grains and an open, crystal-clear sea, already praised by Virgil and awarded the Blue Flag of the Beaches of Europe as well as the Sails of Legambiente.
