How to get there

How to reach the meeting point by public transportation

To reach Ischia from Naples by ferry, you can depart from two main piers: Molo Beverello, from which hydrofoils and fast passenger-only ferries sail, and Calata Porta di Massa, from which slower ferries depart but also allow vehicles to board. The companies that operate this route are mainly Alilauro, Caremar and Medmar, with frequent departures throughout the day. It is advisable to arrive at the port at least 30-40 minutes before departure, or even an hour before if you plan to embark your car. The hydrofoil crossing takes about an hour, while the ferry crossing takes about an hour and a half. Once you arrive on the island, it is important to know that there are three ports of arrival: Ischia Porto (the main one), Casamicciola Terme and Forio, so it is good to check in advance which will be your destination.
