The educational farm is the ideal place for children of all ages to learn while having fun. The activities offered are designed to stimulate curiosity, learning and contact with nature, offering a unique and engaging experience. Each visit includes a series of hands-on activities, thematic workshops and the discovery of the world of animals and plants.

Schedule of the visit:
Each visit begins with a snack, usually consisting of bread and jam or bread and oil. For children with food intolerances, a gluten-free snack is also available to ensure that everyone can participate and enjoy the experience safely. This is followed by the tour of the farm and animals. Children will have the opportunity to discover the farm and interact with the various animals: chickens, rabbits, donkey, dogs and many others. A variety of themed trails are available to explore, each designed to provide a unique and engaging experience:
Horticultural Workshop
The most popular route is Orticolando, where children enter the world of plants, discover the cycle of plant life and participate in hands-on activities, experiments and workshops.
The route includes several options to choose from:
A Jar with floor plan to take home (for children ages 3 and up). Each child can sow and take home their own seedling pot, learning the basics of growing and caring for plants. Or the Hydroponic Cultivation (for children ages 6 and up). This is an interesting workshop that introduces children to growing without soil, using nutrient solutions and learning an innovative method of growing plants.
Ecology Lab
In this workshop, children will explore the world of ecology through games and hands-on activities. They will learn the importance of respect for the environment, recycling and sustainability.
Some of the activities include:
- Eco-friendly games for learning while having fun;
- DIY soap and toothpaste workshop, using natural and sustainable ingredients;
- Creative recycling activities to understand the importance of reducing, reusing and recycling.
Animal Lab
In this workshop, children will explore the world of farm animals and participate in fun hands-on activities. Among the main activities:
- Specific visit to the farm animals, with the opportunity to learn more about the characteristics and needs of each animal;
- The milking game: with a pretend cow, children can simulate milking, learning the process that leads to fresh milk;
- Creating homes for insects, an activity that raises children's awareness of respect for biodiversity and the importance of insects in the ecosystem;
- Yogurt making, where children will learn how fermented milk is made, a great way to learn about the dairy tradition.
Archaeological Laboratory
Children will have the opportunity to put themselves in the shoes of a archaeologist, Exploring a real archaeological dig and discovering historical artifacts. The activity includes:
- An educational explanation with an archaeologist, who will tell the secrets of the past.
- Actual archaeological excavation, where children can practice their excavation and discovery skills.
- Clay workshop, to create small objects as if they were real craftsmen of antiquity.
- Visit the Roman cistern on the farm, where you will learn how water resources were managed in ancient times.
Workshop on Medicinal Plants
An activity that brings children closer to the world of medicinal plants and their properties. Children will explore a vegetable garden with a focus on medicinal plants and participate in creative workshops such as preparing natural soaps or herbal teas. Each visit to the farm is designed to be an active learning opportunity, where children not only observe, but participate directly in activities, exploring the world of nature, animals and the environment. With a wide range of hands-on workshops and educational games, each visit offers something special.
Melofioccolo Dairy
The route Melofioccolo Dairy offers students the opportunity to learn about farm animals up close, with a focus on milking. During the activity, children can participate in a workshop of their choice: creating a birdhouse using recycled materials (for toddlers, ages 3-7) or making yogurt (for children ages 6 and up). The experience allows them to combine hands-on learning and fun, stimulating participants' curiosity and manual skills.
