About this activity

Do you feel like giving your class a unique and unforgettable experience? Then book this Educational workshop on the biodiversity of the environment in the Vesuvius area. This activity is designed for children in kindergarten, elementary school and secondary school.

Your pupils will carry out a series of fun didactic-manipulative exercises to discover the secrets of the ecosystem around us and the natural mechanisms that regulate it. After explaining to them the concept of an ecosystem and what elements make it up to make it so, children will be able to create their own "ecosystem in a jar".

Through this workshop, participants will be able to build, inside a jar, a soil layer consisting of gravel, light materials and soil, in which a seedling will be placed and other elements found by the students will be added. Once sprayed, the jar will be closed to compose a small self-regulated ecosystem that the children can take home to admire their evolution.
