You can take the walking tour around 6 p.m. and learn about the heart of Neapolitan culture and traditions. The walk kicks off from Dante Square, where you can observe the Convitto Nazionale (National Boarding School). From here you will move toward Port'Alba, and then reach Piazza Bellini.

So you will walk toward Via dei Tribunali and you will have a chance to see the Church of the Anime del Purgatorio, famous for housing the underground crypt that houses the "capuzzelle," that is, the remains of human skulls around which the cult of the pezzentelle souls later arose.

The tour then continues in the direction of Via San Gregorio Armeno, the street famous for nativity scenes and shepherds. You will then cross Spaccanapoli and there will be a stop at the Monastery of St. Clare to admire its fantastic cloister. To finish, you will reach Piazza del Gesù Nuovo.

How to reach Naples by car:

From Piazza Garibaldi take Corso Garibaldi and continue on Via Rosaroll. After 800 meters turn left onto Via Foria. After 300 meters enter Piazza Cavour. At 400 meters there is Porta San Gennaro.

How to reach Naples by public transportation:

From Piazza Garibaldi central station, take the Metro Line 1 and get off at the Duomo stop. Continue walking on Corso Umberto I and turn right onto Via Eletto Starace. Follow Via Ferri Vecchi and turn left onto Via de Blasiis. On the right take Via del Grande Archivio and Vico Nuovo a Librai. Finally, turn left onto Via San Biagio dei Librai and Via San Gregorio Armeno.
