About this activity

Do you feel like discovering the true essence of Neapolitan culture? To do so, we offer you this walking tours in the center of Naples that will take you among the iconic places of the Spanish Quarter and beyond. The excursion kicks off from the Maradona Museum, the museum center dedicated to the famous Argentine footballer who is still an undisputed idol for Neapolitans.
The appointment is in Vico Cariati, where you will take a guided tour inside the Maradona Museum, established by the son of the custodian of the former San Paolo stadium who decided to display to the public a series of memorabilia and personal items belonging to the Pibe de Oro. Among the various things you can admire are soccer jerseys, balls, benches, statues and more.
Once the visit is over, you can stay in the area Spanish Neighborhoods. Here you can take a walking tour through narrow, teeming alleys, where authenticity can be felt at every corner. Street art colors the walls and the famous mural dedicated to Diego Armando Maradona is an unfailing reminder. Walking unhurriedly is the best way to catch the atmosphere of this "popular" Naples among small churches, stores, neighborhood voices and an energy that is hard to forget.
Next, you can trace back to Toledo Street, easily reached on foot from the Spanish Quarter. This historic city artery connects such central points of the city as Dante Square and Plebiscite Square. In addition, Via Toledo is perfect for a relaxing break, perhaps doing some shopping, or having a coffee or ice cream and enjoying the beauty of the beating heart of Campania's capital city.

The Magic of the Maradona Museum

Diego Armando Maradona was not only a great footballer: he became a timeless cultural and sporting symbol in Naples. The museum allows you to relive key moments in his career, understand his impact on the city and why he is loved as an icon. Original jerseys, historic balls, vintage photos, trophies, personal items. The museum holds pieces that tell the story of Maradona's sporting (and other) life in an authentic way, often through materials that are hard to find elsewhere. To visit this museum is also to understand a deep part of theneapolitan identity and its emotional bond with Maradona amidst the desire for redemption, passion and a sense of belonging. It is almost a little journey into the soul of the city!
