The experience consists of a boat excursion aboard a fishing boat together with professional fishermen to learn about the world of fishing and fisheries.

Lamparata is nothing more than an ancient method of fishing which relies on the use of a large lamp at the stern of the gozzo to attract fish. At the same time, another boat, called a cenciola, drops a net into the water to catch fish. The activity then continues on the beach, where you can help prepare a dinner with what you have just caught. In particular, you can enjoy spaghetti with homegrown tuna, fried fish, water, wine and watermelon.

This is the perfect choice for those who do not want to be mere spectators, but to actively collaborate, both in the fishing stages and in the preparation of the dinner. The event is available from June to September at 8:30 pm after finishing work and is ideal for couples, families or individuals.

How to reach the meeting point by car

From central Naples Piazza Garibaldi take SS162 from Corso Meridionale, Via Taddeo da Sessa and Via Emanuele Gianturco. Follow E45 and A3 in the direction of Via Fra' Generoso in Salerno. Take the Salerno exit from A3. Take Via Demetrio Moscato, Via Pio XI and Via dei Principati in the direction of SS 18 Tirrena Inferiore in Salerno. The route is about 50 minutes.

How to reach the meeting point by public transportation

From Naples Central Station take the train to Reggio Calabria Centrale and get off at the Salerno stop. From there you reach the square on foot in 4 minutes. The route is about 45 minutes.
