You can choose to take this fantastic excursion in the morning or at sunset. Departing from the port of Agropoli you'll head straight for Punta Fortino, recognizable by the lighthouse that stands on its top, built way back in 1929. Immediately afterwards you will visit the Elephant Cave, whose rock conformation resembles the imposing legs of an elephant. An ancient legend hovers around this place: fishermen still claim that during storms you can hear the crying of the Green Queen's soul from the cave. Curious to find out its story?
Navigation continues to the famous Rock of St. Francis, whose cross bears witness to the miracle by which the waves of the stormy sea never manage to overcome solely that one rock among many. From here you continue to Trentova Bay and Scoglio di Trentova, Scoglio del Sale and Baia del Saùco, where you will stop for your first swim stop. If you are fond of snorkeling you can enjoy discovering the seabed of these wonderful areas with crystal clear waters, before proceeding to Punta Tresino, once the home of farmers and shepherds where you can still see the ruins of an old abandoned village, that of the Trezeni.
Of rare beauty is the Marine Protected Area of the St. John's Cove, a natural cove surrounded by nature, caves and a wonderful golden beach. After Punta Pagliarolo you will get to know the famous little harbor that was the protagonist of the dinner among colleagues in the famous movie "Welcome to the South," Le Gatte harbor; from here you will continue to the Pozzillo beach and the Greco-Roman port of San Marco di Castellabate.
About two hours after departure you will finally reach Punta Licosa, where you will take a tour of the coast and the island. The time has come to dive back into the water! Ready for the second swim stop accompanied by a good aperitif. The Island of Licosa owes its name to the mermaid Leucosia who tried to seduce Ulysses and his fleet with her singing. It is part of the Protected Marine Area of the municipality of Castellabate and in three kilometers of coastline holds stories and myths capable of bewitching any dreamer.
After an hour or so we will depart to return to the port of Agropoli.
