Thanks to this activity you can learn the history and fine tradition of this prince vegetable of Neapolitan cuisine.

The cooking class begins with a theoretical explanation and a visit to the garden, where tomatoes will be harvested. Then we will move on to the practical phase with an introduction to the ingredients needed to prepare the sauce which include ripe tomatoes, onions, garlic, basil and olive oil.

How to get there

How to get to Monte di Procida by car

From Piazza Garibaldi proceed along Corso Novara, Via Nuova Poggioreale, Corso Malta and take the exit for Domitiana/Pozzuoli. Enter E56 and after 19 km take the exit for Pozzuoli/Arco Felice/Bacoli. Take Via Montenuovo Licola Patria and turn right onto Via Miliscola. Continue for 1.5 km and turn left onto Via Montegrillo. Then advance on Via Terme Romane, Viale Vanvitelli, Via Ottaviano and Via Giulio Cesare. Finally, turn right onto Via Torregaveta and continue on Corso Filomarino, Via Pedecone and Corso Garibaldi.

How to get to Monte di Procida by public transportation

From Piazza Garibaldi take subway line 2 and get off at the Pozzuoli-Solfatara terminus. Outside the station take the EAV 101 bus and get off at one of the stops in Monte di Procida.
