About this activity

Can't start your day without having a good cup of coffee? Then this is the perfect experience for you! In fact, the masterclass dedicated to the world of coffee will teach you just about everything about your favorite beverage, and you'll also have a great tasting session. The activity takes place at a roasting company, and here you will learn all the steps involved in making the legendary Neapolitan espresso.
Your guided tour will begin with raw coffee and green bean and you will be told about the origins and varieties of coffee that make this product so special in the world. Then you will be told how coffee came to Naples and how the selection of the finest beans and blends is made.
Next, you will be shown the history of coffee production in all its forms, from ground coffee to pods and capsules, and you will be able to see many examples of coffee machines, from the oldest to the most modern and technological. To finish, there will be a time for gathering with a tasting, in which you will be offered a cup of coffee accompanied by cakes and pastries.

    How to reach the meeting point by car

    From Piazza Garibaldi proceed on Corso Novara, Calata Ponte di Casanova, Via Nuova Poggioreale and Corso Malta. Enter the A56 for 200 meters and take Viale Comandante Maddalena. Continue on Assese Mediano for 20 km and take the exit for Qualiano/Zona Industriale/Giugliano. Enter Strada Provinciale Santa Maria a Cubito Giugliano and advance on Via S. Francesco a Patria for 3 km. Finally, turn right onto Via Piccolo.

    How to reach the meeting point by public transportation

    From Piazza Garibaldi station, take the metropolitan train to Pozzuoli Solfatara and get off at the Campi Flegrei stop. From here take the regional train to Villa Literno and get off at the Giugliano-Qualiano stop. Continue on foot on Via Salvatore Piccolo.

    Ho partecipato alla masterclass di degustazione di caffè a Giugliano e sono rimasto molto soddisfatto. Gli esperti erano molto preparati e appassionati, trasmettendo le loro conoscenze in modo chiaro e coinvolgente. La sessione di degustazione è stata ben organizzata, permettendoci di esplorare diverse varietà di caffè e di comprendere meglio le sfumature di sapore. L'unico suggerimento che darei è di prevedere un po' più di tempo per le domande e le interazioni con gli esperti. Comunque, un'esperienza altamente raccomandata.
