About this activity

Diego Armando Maradona is undoubtedly one of the iconic characters of the city of Naples, and for the past 40 years his legend is still alive in the Campania capital, especially after his untimely death five years ago.
Just to honor the memory of the Argentine footballer, the Sao Paulo stadium was named after Maradona, and among the various initiatives scattered around Naples was also established the Maradona Museum which can be encountered in Vico Cariati, a short distance from Largo Maradona in the Spanish Quarter. The museum center today houses various memorabilia and objects that belonged to the champion, preserved as if they were true "relics."
This is because Maradona represented something unique and unforgettable to the Neapolitan people, uniting generations of fans who still live in his myth. The Maradona Museum was born out of the desire to Massimo Vignati, son of Saverio who worked as a stadium security guard for 30 years.
Over the years, Massimo's father has formed a strong friendship with the footballer and his wife Lucia at the time was chosen as a personal housekeeper during Maradona's Neapolitan years. Massimo Vignati then inherited many of Maradona's objects, which he decided to display in an exhibition dedicated to him.
Among the memorabilia that can be encountered in the museum we have the bronze statue "Maradona", sculpted in 2020 by artist Domenico Sepe. Maradona is depicted as a victorious hero, decorated with the symbols of the Scudetti and Coppa Italia won by the team. Among other things that can be admired we have the Boca Juniors jersey, the shirt worn by Maradona the day he landed in Naples for the first time, the Napoli 1987-1988 jersey, the ball of the 1986 World Cup in Mexico and the bench used by the football player in the locker room.
If you are also a fan of the legendary Maradona book your ticket now!
