About this tour

Departure is from the coastline of Cape Miseno and you will be taken to the slopes of the Miseno crater, which was formed between 25,000 and 10,000 years ago. Here you will be able to admire a structure that allows the settlement of so many varieties of birds, both migratory and stationary.

Along a 4-kilometer route, you will find yourself walking through holm oaks and Mediterranean scrub and ascend an ancient Bourbon path that will offer magnificent views of Mount of Procida, where you can admire what remains of the Archiflegrean volcano.

Moreover, before you will open up what was once the nerve center of the powerful Roman fleet, and the view will also include the peak that from above dominates the lighthouse of Miseno. In short, the hike will provide you with a 180-degree view of one of Campania's most spectacular settings.

How to get there

How to reach the meeting point by car

From Piazza Garibaldi take Corso Novara, Calata Ponte di Casanova and Via Nuova Poggioreale to reach Corso Malta. After 1 km take the exit for Domitiana/Pozzuoli. Enter the A56 and after 18 km exit at Pozzuoli/Arco Felice/Bacoli. Then continue on Via Montenuovo Licola Patria and turn right onto Via Miliscola and Via Montegrillo. Continue on Via Lucullo, Via Castello, Via Roma and Via Lungolago.

How to reach the meeting point by public transportation

From Naples Central Station take bus 101 and get off at the Bacoli-Via Risorgimento stop. Then take bus 102 and get off at the Bacoli-Miliscola stop. Continue on foot along the Villa Comunale.
