L'itinerary in the Ferriere Valley is a fascinating experience that combines nature and history. This easy, low-stress route winds through the picturesque medieval villages of Minute and Pontoon, offering a breathtaking spectacle at every step.
During the walk, you can see enchanting forests, crystal clear springs, small waterfalls and the rapids of the Rio Canneto, once used as a driving force for the ancient paper mills. The ruins of these paper mills, still visible, tell a story of tradition and craftsmanship, dating back to the production of Amalfi's famous paper, which continues to be in high demand.
Halfway along the route, one encounters the ancient ironworks, from which the valley takes its name. This structure supplied the ancient Maritime Republic of Amalfi with iron, testifying to the historical importance of the area.
Continuing on, you enter the nature reserve, where you can observe the rich biodiversity of the place, including the rare woodwardia. Finally, the path takes us to the area of ancient mills, where history and natural beauty come together in an unforgettable experience.

The cost for the private group is €300.00, for groups of 16 to 30 people (2 guides + accompanying expert)

You can choose the time and day of the excursion, to be arranged privately
Comfortable, layered clothing, hiking or slip-resistant sculpted-sole shoes and at least 1.5 liters of water are strongly recommended
Note that currently the path to Amalfi is interdicted. Therefore, you will return to Pontone as described. In case the trail is reopened, it will be possible to get to Amalfi and go back up with the SITA bus
Service not included: the Nature Reserve entrance fee (5 euros per person excluding under 12 and over 65)
The organization reserves the right to cancel the scheduled excursion by 3:00 p.m. on the day before the scheduled date if valid reasons occur, such as adverse weather conditions or situations that may jeopardize the maintenance of participants' safety conditions
The Guide reserves the right not to admit participants without the proper equipment to the group, as expressly requested. In addition, the Guide may modify the route or program of the hike according to weather conditions, the state of the terrain, and the ability of the group, in order to ensure the safety of all participants and the success of the activity

The Degree of Difficulty (E) is hiking Medium. The length is 7 km and takes about 5 hours with an elevation gain of +/- 250m
The meeting point is in Via Minuta Frazione di Scala (SA).

The Participant may bring his or her own dog - except in protected wilderness areas where there is an explicit prohibition on this - must keep the dog on a leash and ensure that his or her dog is accustomed to being with other people and with other dogs without disturbing other hikers

In the event that the Guide decides to cancel the excursion for proven reasons ( adverse weather, landslide bans ordinances other) the amount paid will be "frozen" with the Guide and will be usable within 1 year of payment; alternatively, if requested by the Participant, the amount may be refunded in full
In the event that the Participant is unable to take part in the excursion, he/she must promptly notify the Guide. In case of cancellation, you will be entitled to a refund of the full amount if the communication is made within 72 hours of the excursion, while 50% of the fee will be refunded if the cancellation is communicated within 24 hours before the excursion. Cancellations received after the 24-hour limit prior to the excursion will result in the total loss of the amount paid
