For younger children's fun and learning, you can book an engaging educational pottery workshop Dedicated to school groups. The activity takes place in the beautiful Vietri sul Mare, home of the famous Vietrese pottery, and offers children an opportunity to discover and experience clay working.
During the class, lasting about one and a half hours, participants will make with their own hands a small clay donkey, a symbol of coastal towns perched on the Mediterranean Sea and an iconic figure in the Vietrese artistic tradition.

After or before the pottery workshop, or while another class waits their turn, you can participate in a cultural walk in Vietri sul Mare with a private tour guide. The itinerary takes visitors on a discovery of the village's most representative sights and symbols, offering an experience that combines art, history and tradition. The tour starts from the Dome of the Church of St. John the Baptist, clad in colorful majolica tiles that glow in the sun and dominate the coastal landscape, and then continue to the Troubadour Wheel, a moving testimony to local solidarity and history. One then encounters "Lu Ciucciariello", the famous ceramic sculpture depicting the little donkey, an affectionate symbol of Vietri and the protagonist of many popular legends. The itinerary also includes a stop at the Villa Guariglia Ceramic Museum, where it is possible to admire a rich collection of works that tell the story of the evolution of Vietrese ceramic art over time. The walk ends in front of the most instagrammed house in Vietri, an explosion of colors and ceramic decorations that perfectly represents the lively and creative soul of the town. This experience, perfect to complement the workshop activity, allows participants to get up close and personal with the culture and traditions of Vietri sul Mare in an engaging and authentic way.
The cost for the "Educational workshop with demonstration of traditional pottery techniques" is €160.00 (up to a maximum of 30 participants, including 2 teachers/chaperones)
The cost for "Educational workshop: creation of Vietrese donkey using traditional pottery techniques" is €15.00 per pupil (minimum of participants 13, up to a maximum of 20, including 2 teachers/chaperones)
The cost for "2-hour cultural walk in Vietri after pottery activities" is €500.00 total, up to a maximum of 25 participants, with 1 guide
The didactic lesson with demonstration only lasts 50 minutes . While the lesson with demonstration and creation of the handiwork lasts 1 1/2 hours
The activity is available daily upon request. The time can be chosen between 9:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m.

From May to October, classes are held outdoors in the courtyard of a building in the historic center of Vietri sul Mare. From October to May, classes are held at the event organizer's private workshop
Notions, cultural references and communication methods will be used depending on the age group
It is recommended to wear comfortable clothes and shoes and to keep fingernails short. The experience includes water, tea and coffee
The experience is held on the ground floor of a building in the heart of the historic center, on the main street. To access, there are 5 steps and, unfortunately, the facility is not equipped for people with mobility difficulties
If the number of participants exceeds 20 people, the activity can be organized in different time slots or spread over different days to ensure an optimal and well-managed experience for everyone. We are available to find the solution that best suits your organizational needs

The two-hour cultural walk in Vietri sul Mare, organized after the pottery activities, will include a private tour guide for groups of up to 25 participants. In the event of a higher number, multiple guides will be assigned to ensure an optimal experience and careful accompaniment throughout the walk. To facilitate listening and ensure the best enjoyment of the visit, the use of headphones, available at a cost of €3.00 per pupil, is mandatory.
The experience is suitable for third-grade primary through secondary classes. Concepts, cultural references and modes of communication will be used depending on the age group
Pupils will be provided with work aprons. Comfortable clothing is recommended
Languages available are Italian and English, translation service possible for French, Spanish, German on request at extra cost
