About this activity

The wine and typical products of the Vesuvius area have a unique taste. You can try them in this wonderful experience where you will have the opportunity to visit vineyards and wineries where you will discover all the secrets of the production of the famous Lacryma Christi DOC.

You will be able to taste specially selected wines that will accompany a typical local lunch.

You will start with an appetizer of local products: various salumi, provolone, casatiello, the salty ricotta, olive oil bread flavored with Vesuvian herbs and spices, prosciutto crudo campano, bruschetta with Piennolo tomatoes, served with Lacryma Christi del Vesuvio Bianco DOP, Rosato and Rosso. You will continue with a nice plate of durum wheat spaghetti with a sauce made from Piennolo tomatoes and basil. The pasta will be accompanied by a tasting of Lacryma Christi Riserva.

You will end with a great dessert: traditional pastiera, a great classic of Neapolitan cuisine, with Capafresca Rosé Sparkling Wine and White Passito IGT.

You can enjoy lunch while admiring a magnificent view of the Bay of Naples, the island of Capri and the Sorrento Peninsula.

How to get there

How to get to Cantina del Vesuvio by car

From Naples Piazza Garibaldi take Corso Arnaldo Lucci and Via Galileo Ferraris. Take A3 and drive in the direction of Viale Pastore Raffaele in Torre Annunziata. Take the Torre Annunziata Nord exit. Take Via Casa Cirillo and Via Carlo Pisacane in the direction of Via Panoramica in Trecase. The duration of the route from Piazza Garibaldi is about 25 minutes.

How to get to Cantina del Vesuvio by public transportation

It is not possible to reach Cantina del Vesuvio by public transportation. You can book free pick-up and drop-off from Pompeii Porta Marina.
