About this activity

Would you like to take your class on a field trip, but don't know which experience to choose? With this educational farm day children will have a great time among games, animals and more. The activity takes place at a facility in Herculaneum that is an integral part of a farm established with the aim of bringing young children closer to nature.

The farm is completely surrounded by greenery, and much of its land is engaged in the cultivation of cherry tomatoes from the piennolo variety. The children will be able to carry out a 3-hour route, during which there will be a short presentation, a visit to the animals, a snack and the activity "From Nature to History," designed for children ages 3 to 10.

Next, the planting and production system of the cherry tomato. To top it off, the young participants will be told the story of Herculaneum and its mosaics and will also be able to build a real Roman mosaic to take home. For those who wish, it is also possible to request a full day option until 3 p.m., including a packed lunch or a served lunch with first course, second course and water.

From Piazza Garibaldi drive along Corso Lucci and Via Ferraris to take the A3. After 10 km take the exit for Ercolano and enter Via Cupa Monti. After 400 meters turn right onto Via Doglie and continue straight on Via Villanova.

From Naples Central Station take the EAV bus to Poggiomarino and get off at the Ercolano Miglio d'Oro stop. Continue on foot on Via Doglie and Via Villanova.
