Tour information

The shared tour will be held every Friday, Saturday and Sunday of the month. It is confirmed only if the minimum number of participants is reached
The meeting point is at Via Porta San Gennaro, but it is also possible to arrange a different meeting point with the guide
Tour start time is available from 9:00 am to 6:00 pm, in case of private tour you can choose the time you prefer
It is not possible to enter the interior of the red building (i.e. the St. Vincent Pier)
If the group exceeds 20 people, it is mandatory to purchase earphones, at a cost of €2.50 each

Cancellation

In case of cancellation by the customer within 24 hours before the reservation, 50% will be refunded on the total amount paid
In case of no show on the same day of the experience, no refund will be made
In case of cancellation by the customer within 72 hours before the reservation, 30% will be refunded on the total amount paid
In case of inclement weather, it is possible to reschedule the experience to a future date

About this tour

If Mare Fuori is your favorite TV series and you know just about everything about its characters, then this is the perfect experience for you!

The Sea Out tour allows you to visit some of the places in Naples that served as locations for the most important and memorable scenes of the fiction set inside the Neapolitan juvenile prison.

This experience will take place over 3 hours and will lead you through the historic center of Naples to see some truly memorable sights.

First Stage

From Porta San Gennaro you will reach the Pizzeria Capasso, the place where the scene between Pirucchio and the Commander was filmed. In the third season we see the character of Gaetano ('O Pirucchio) who finds the strength to leave behind the mistakes of the past thanks to the pizza laboratory which had offered him a job after the probationary period granted by the magistrate.

Second Stage

From here we will go to Umberto Gallery, where the scene between Carmine and the Commander in the second season of Mare Fuori is set. While walking, the two discuss Carmine's future and his desire to avenge the death of his wife Nina, declaring himself willing to be killed. The Commander tries to reason with him, reminding him to think about his daughter Futura, for whom he must fight.

Third Stage

Next, you will be escorted to the Montesanto monumental staircase, a lava stone staircase that connects the Montesanto at Corso Vittorio Emanuele. The scene in which a young Commander and his best friend argue because the latter decides to steal the bag from a girl on a scooter is set in this area. The Commander argues with his friend, scolds him and returns the bag to the unfortunate woman who will later become his wife.

Fourth Stage

So you will move to the Toledo Street, the point where the scene of the first meeting between 'O Chiattillo and Naditza was filmed. In fact, Philip meets the gypsy girl in the station, fascinated by her ability to play the piano. The two play together, but with the help of an accomplice he steals the boy's wallet and then runs away. Filippo then runs after her and manages to recover it. To avoid being arrested, she kisses him and, taking advantage of her distraction, steals his watch. In the surroundings of the pizzeria you will see other alleys and you can also observe Maradona's murals. From the subway you will get off at the Montecalvario stop and there will be time for a quick stop at the Maradona mural.

Fifth Stage

Finally, you'll get to the St. Vincent Pier, a place where the juvenile prison of Naples was recreated (the pier can only be viewed from the outside as it is a military area). The location, in fact, is not Nisida, but Molo San Vincenzo which appears in every episode of the fiction.

The sea out tour open to all

In particular, they will be able to visit various stages linked to the history of the TV series, including Molo San Vincenzo, the Via Toledo metro station, the Galleria Umberto, the Church of San Domenico Maggiore and the alleys of the historic center of Naples. How to get there

How to reach the meeting point by car

By car, you can leave from Naples Central Station (Piazza Garibaldi) and take Corso Garibaldi in the direction of Via Rosaroll. After about 800 meters, turn left onto Via Foria and continue for about 300 meters. Then, enter Piazza Cavour and continue straight for about 400 meters. Porta San Gennaro will be on your right. Estimated travel time is about 15-20 minutes, depending on traffic

How to reach the meeting point by public transportation

By public transportation, you can take the Metro Line 1 from Naples Central Station (Piazza Garibaldi) in the direction of Piscinola and get off at the Museo stop, which is only 2 stops away. From there, walk about 6 minutes to Porta San Gennaro. Another option is to take the Metro Line 2 in the direction of Naples Campi Flegrei, get off at the Piazza Cavour stop and walk for about 14 minutes to Porta San Gennaro. Alternatively, lines 147, 168 and C52 have stops near Porta San Gennaro, and the Vergini stop is about a 6-minute walk away. Always check public transportation timetables, as they can vary, and be aware of possible traffic restrictions or car-restricted zones in the historic center of Naples
