A full day trip departing from Naples to Pompeii and Vesuvius, where the guided tour will begin. Depending on the option you choose, the minibus will pick you up at your hotel, train station, or cruise ship port.
In addition, you also have the choice of going directly to Pompeii or devoting yourself first to a two-hour city tour of Naples.
Meet at 10:00 am at the chosen meeting point to reach ancient Pompeii. Once you arrive, you will be guided to discover the most important areas of the ancient city, such as the Forum, the baths or the various domus, such as the House of the Vettii. You cannot miss a tasty pizza lunch break included in the price before continuing the tour to Vesuvius.
Here your guide will take you to the top of the volcano, from where you can admire the historic crater and the entire Bay of Naples-the view is breathtaking!
All that remains is to rest on the return trip to Naples.
Adding this option, the tour will start at 8:15 am with pickup at the hotel and the first stop will be the historic center. You will have the opportunity to visit the Cathedral of Naples and the fascinating Treasure Chapel, where you will hear the fascinating story of the miracle of St. Gennaro, for which every year on the day of the patron saint the liquefaction of his blood is awaited with faith and hope. From here you will enter the adjoining basilica of Santa Restituta, the oldest cathedral church in the city, now the chapel of the present cathedral.
Continue the morning tour by passing through the Angevin Male before the second stop at Posillipo, at the magnificent terrace of the church of St. Anthony to enjoy the breathtaking view of the Gulf of Naples.
It crosses the most beautiful square in Naples, Plebiscite Square; just across the square is the famous Royal Palace, formerly known for being the city's gateway to the sea, also home to the Bourbon kings in the 18th and 19th centuries. From here you will ascend to the famous Umberto I Gallery From which to observe the outside of the neighbor San Carlo Theater.
At this point all that remains is to re-board your coach and relax on the short tour along the coast continuing to Pompeii to visit its archaeological excavations. You will then take a lunch break including pizza margherita and soft drink. Transfer to Torre del greco from which you will access Vesuvius National Park up to an altitude of 1000. Stop at the parking lot and walk to the summit of the only active volcano in continental Europe . Visit of the impressive crater at 1200 m height from which it is possible to see the Gulf of Naples from Cape Miseno to the tip of Campanella. Return to the hotel about 5:30 pm.
