Discover Naples, its beauty, culture, traditions and the thousand colors that distinguish it.
The tour will start from San Gregorio Armeno, the world-famous little street famous for its countless craft stores: at every corner, Neapolitan nativity art is the undisputed star. Strolling along the nearby Via dei Tribunali, you arrive at the foot of the monumental and imposing Basilica of San Lorenzo Maggiore located at St. Gaetano Square. Hidden beneath its foundations is a real archaeological city of Greco-Roman origin. Here you will visit one of the most characteristic underground sites in Naples, the Neapolis Sotterrata.
From here you will move on to reach the Naples Cathedral, consecrated to San Gennaro, inside which are kept the relics of the patron saint. Next to the cathedral is the Royal Chapel and the Treasury Museum of San Gennaro where you can admire the precious collection of jewelry and splendors made by hundreds of goldsmiths, as well as the wonderful sculptures in the Chapel.
After the visit you will go back up Spaccanapoli, an artery that exactly divides the city into two parts.
At this point you can enjoy a relaxing break at the Venice Palace, an ancient 14th-century residence and now a cultural, artistic and relaxing place to enjoy a good coffee, a sfogliatella and stroll through the roof garden. Hidden from the hustle and bustle of the city, this place is a corner of historic paradise.
The tour will end in Jesus Square, one of the most important in the city, to discover the church of the same name and the mysterious stories that hover around its construction; before reaching it you can learn about the history of the nearby monastery of St. Clare With associated cloisters.
