  • The Lemon tour is available Tuesday through Sunday, from 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. every hour
  • The lemon tour includes a set menu lunch (a mix grilled vegetables with 0 km, mozzarella cheese with lemon leaf, as a first course lemon ravioli and for dessert a lemon surprise
  • Lunch is bookable at 11:00 am, 12:00 pm and 1:00 pm. Dinner is bookable at the end of the last shift
  • The menu may be subject to change based on the seasonality of products
  • The duration of the tour, including the tasting, is about 45 minutes

You will be given an in-depth explanation of the cultivation method of the "Oval of Sorrento" or Massa lemon, an exclusive product of the Sorrento Peninsula. You will be able to witness the cultivation and production techniques of the world's most famous lemon.

The Sorrento lemon is characterized by its thick peel, rich in essential oils that give it a unique fragrance and unmistakable. You will be able to pick this intensely aromatic citrus fruit with your own hands and taste local specialties, including the limoncello, tasty jams or theextra virgin olive oil flavored with lemon.

After the Lemon tour, upon request, you can extend your discovery of Sorrento flavors with a delicious lunch at the Home Restaurant of the Limonaia, a magical location in the center of Sorrento nestled in an 8000sqm citrus grove with a warm Mediterranean atmosphere. By reserving your table, at the end of the tour you can sit in the shade of the garden pergola and enjoy typical dishes.

Home restaurant La Limonaia

La Limonaia Home Restaurant has a small characteristic kitchen similar to that of a home, so it offers a km 0 menu, designed and prepared with ingredients grown and harvested from its own garden. This choice makes the dishes unique and varied. You can choose appetizers, first courses and main courses, always different according to the seasonality of the products that the land offers. Not surprisingly, the slogan of the restaurant is "Picked and eat", meaning "gathered and eaten."

This is a unique experience that will allow you to savor the true taste of Sorrento cuisine, traveling through the flavors and food and wine culture of this wonderful land.

How to get there

How to get to the Sorrento Limonaia by car

From Piazza Giuseppe Garibaldi and Corso Arnaldo Lucci proceed in the direction of Via Galileo Ferraris. Take SS162 from Corso Meridionale, Via Taddeo da Sessa and Via Emanuele Gianturco, then take Strada Statale 268 del Vesuvio/SS268 and SS145 in the direction of Viale Nizza in Sorrento, passing first through Corso Italia. From Viale Nizza proceed straight down Via Bernardino Rota, then turn left onto Via Aniello Califano and left again to reach La Limonaia. The route takes about 1 hour and 40 minutes.

How to reach the Limonaia in Sorrento by transportation

From Piazza Garibaldi take bus 1 towards Sorrento and get off at Sorrento. Walk about 7 minutes and you will have arrived at your destination. The route is about 1 hour and 30 minutes.

Lemon tasting tour to try

Delicious tour and lemon lunch. I would definitely recommend it to others. The lemon farm was lovely and such a lovely place not too far from downtown Sorrento. Our guide was lovely and very informative!

Lemon tour exceptional

We took the guided tour of the lemon grove with lunch. The tour was informative and interesting. It lasted about 30 minutes, which seemed like the right amount of time. We were then able to taste delicious bread with orange and lemon marmalade, different olive oils, honey, cheese, cookies, limoncello, lemon cream, and limoncello sponge cake, all of which were delicious. Lunch consisted of fresh mozzarella grilled in lemon leaves with grilled vegetables, beautiful lemon ravioli, and lemon sorbet dessert. Everything was absolutely delicious and the portion sizes were just right. It is a beautiful setting among the lemon trees and all the staff were very friendly. I highly recommend it.
