Cusano Mutri is a pretty village in the province of Benevento, located on a rocky outcrop in the eastern part of Matese.

It developed around a Medieval castle but now only its ruins are visible, which take us back to its majesty.

You can visit many historic buildings, such as the 18th-century Santagata Palace or the churches, including that of the Holy Apostles St. Peter and Paul and of St. Nicholas.
A short distance from the historic center, trekkers can go to the Gorge of Conca Torta, the Caccaviola Gorge, or can travel Ripa Street, an ancient path where it is possible to admire an ancient stone tower. Also not to be missed is the path of Gorge of Sink on the border with Cerreto Sannita.
