About this tour

Looking for an experience to have fun with the whole family? With this guided tour among the farms of the Alta Murgia National Park you will be able to experience a little moment of relaxation in the company of your loved ones or friends.

The activity takes place in Gravina in Puglia on a 6-km trail that winds from Masseria Cifarelli to Jazzo Portico to Jazzo Monnara, then back to the starting point. The hike takes place in the company of an experienced guide who will lead you along the Murgia ridge and through the most beautiful places of geological and naturalistic interest.

You will be told the history of the flora and fauna of the Murgia and deepen your knowledge about the architecture of the jazzi. Then you will experience a reading performance listening to the murgian tales by local storyteller Donato Laborante.

Around 7:30 pm then there will be an apericena at the Masseria Cifarelli, a farm that grows durum wheat, tomatoes and legumes (lentils, chickpeas, black chickpeas). Run to reserve your ticket!

How to get there

How to reach the meeting point by car

From Piazza Garibaldi in Naples take Corso Lucci and Via Ferraris to enter the A3. After 3 km take the exit for A1/E45 and enter the A16/E842. Continue for 127 km and take the exit for Candela. After 200 meters turn onto SP95 and into SS655. After 500 meters advance on SP168 for 7 km and continue on SP230 for 15 km. At the traffic circle take the second exit and continue on SP230 for another 7 km to the Roxy Bar in Poggiorsini.

How to reach the meeting point by public transportation

From Piazza Garibaldi take the bus to Matera and get off at the Altamura stop. From here take the bus to Cerignola and get off at Poggiorsini station. Then continue on foot to the Roxy Bar.
