Would you like to spend a relaxing day in a special setting? Movery offers you an exciting UNESCO tours between the sites of Matera and Alberobello which are among the most beloved and visited in our country and cannot be missed among the must-see stops in Apulia.
Known as the city of the Sassi, Matera was European Capital of Culture 2019, while Alberobello is a symbol of Puglia in the world with its picturesque trulli. So why not take a nice full-day guided tour between the two towns?
This experience allows you to fully immerse yourself in Apulian and Lucanian culture and traditions in comfort as the tour takes place aboard a comfortable minibus departing from Bari. You will experience a fun day of hiking, spectacular views and free time!
The tour starts at 7:15; 7:45 or 8:45, in the morning from Largo Eroi del Mare in Bari, Polignano a Mare or Monopoli and from there you will reach Matera around 10:00. Once at your destination you will visit the famous Sassi and everything will be explained to you about these ancient rock dwellings with a history dating back thousands of years. At 1:00 pm there will be a break for lunch and at 2:00 pm you will leave for Alberobello, where you will arrive at 3:00 pm.
Here you will take a guided tour between Monti District and Little Hague to see the most beautiful trulli up close and learn about the characteristics of the conical-roofed buildings. Around 5:30 p.m. the excursion will conclude and you will return to Bari around 6:30 p.m.

Tour information

  • The tour starts at 07:45 from Polignano a Mare, Monopoli at 8:15 and 8:45 from Bari, takes about 10 hours

  • Included in the price are: professional guide, Matera Cave House Entrance Ticket and bus transfer from Polignano a Mare or Bari

  • Depart Bari at 09:00 from Largo Eroi del Mare and arrive in Matera at 10:00 for a guided tour of the famous Sassi, a UNESCO heritage site. At 13:00 free lunch break to explore the city at your own pace. At 2:00 pm departure to Alberobello, arriving at 3:00 pm for a guided tour between Aia Piccola and Rione Monti, admiring the characteristic trulli. The tour concludes at 5:30 p.m., with return to Bari scheduled for 6:30 p.m.

    How to reach the meeting point by car
    From Bari airport proceed on Viale Ferrari, Viale d'Annunzio and enter the SS16. After 5 km take the exit towards Bari center and continue on Via Napoli for 2 km. Then turn onto Via Caracciolo, Corso Vittorio Veneto, Corso De Tullio and Lungomare Imperatore Augusto. Finally, take Lungomare Araldo di Crollalanza and turn into Largo Eroi del Mare.
    How to reach the meeting point by transportation
    From Bari airport take bus R95 and get off at the central station. Here take bus 02 and get off at Crollalanza/Eroi stop and walk to Largo Eroi del Mare.
