This seaside location falls within the Coastal Dunes Park, a nature reserve established in 2006 whose name derives from an ancient watchtower erected to defend against the Saracens. On this wonderful coastline of fine sand you can take a horseback ride at sunset, and from the shoreline you can admire the magnificent shades of the sun setting on the horizon. There will be an instructor who will explain how to ride a horse safely to the less experienced.

How to get there

How to reach the meeting point with by car

Start from Piazza Garibaldi and take Via Garibaldi and continue on Via Ettore Fieramosca and then turn right onto Via Nicola Mignogna. Proceed to the junction with the SS16 towards Brindisi/Bari, then take the exit for the SS379 towards Brindisi. Then, continue on the SS379 for about 40 km, then take the exit for Speziale/Montalbano and continue on the SS16 until you reach Montalbano di Fasano. Follow the signs for Contrada Ottava.

How to reach the meeting point by public transportation

From Piazza Garibaldi station, take a train from Bari bound for Fasano. When you arrive in Fasano, take a local bus to Montalbano or use a cab service from the Fasano station. Traveling by public transportation may take longer than by car, depending on schedules and connections. Check train and bus schedules in advance for accurate planning.
