We of Movery we have come up with a 7-day itinerary that will take you to the most enchanting places in the region. Each day you will experience a different tour which will engage you for the entire day, and before returning to the hotel you can enjoy a nice dinner In one of the traditional restaurants in the area.

Day 1 - Temples of Paestum

Once you arrive in the capital city of Naples, you can travel to Cilento for a visit to the Paestum excavations with train departure from Naples and entrance fee. The Archaeological Park of Paestum and Velia has been a UNESCO heritage site since 1998 and is home to three splendid Greek temples such as the Temple of Ceres, the Temple of Neptune and the basilica, all dating from the period between the 6th and 5th centuries BC. Around then you can see the housing districts such as the domus, baths, forum and stores. Once the excursion is over, you can stop and eat at one of the typical places, such as Vannulo, Alici Trattoria di Mare, Pizzeria Al Gelso d'Oro da Nonna Sceppa or Don Salvatore's Dispensa.

Day 2 - Benevento

Still moving away from Naples, we suggest you reach the wonderful city of Benevento for a'Guided excursion to the heart of the city of witches. Located at the confluence of the Calore and Sabato rivers, Benevento is known for the legendary witches' sabbaths that took place around an ancient walnut tree, which is why it is known as the city of witches. During the 3-hour tour you will visit the church of St. Sophia, the Benevento Cathedral and the Arch of Trajan. Then there will be time for a visit to the store Alberti, producer of the famous Strega liqueur. To taste the local cuisine instead, we recommend Sapori Restaurant, Gino and Pina Restaurant and Locanda Scialapopolo.

Day 3 - Royal Palace of Caserta

For the third day of your itinerary, we have chosen the unmissable Reggia di Caserta, a must-see for those in Campania. With this tour of the Royal Palace of Caserta departing by train from Naples you will receive round-trip train tickets from Naples and a ticket with priority access to the Reggia. Once you arrive at the vanvitellian residence you will be able to explore the site on your own and have a chance to see the New Apartments, the Palatine Chapel and the gardens. After your visit is over, we suggest you stop for a meal at one of the nearby eateries, including Pizzeria I Masanielli, Osteria da Miduccia, L'amo Racconti di Mare, and Radici Clandestine.

Day 4 - Campi Flegrei

Another area particularly popular with tourists in Campania is the Campi Flegrei, an ancient area of volcanic origin known for the geological phenomena of bradyseism. For the fourth day we suggest a tour of the Cumae excavations with a stop at the Casina Vanvitelliana. The excursion starts from the archaeological park of Cuma and you will see in particular the Cumaean sibyl cavern, the temple of Jupiter, the Saracen Tower and much more. Then you will move on to the Vanvitellian Casina, a Bourbon-era hunting lodge decorated in the Rococo style that stands on the shores of Lake Fusaro. Next, we recommend a guided tour of the Piscina Mirabilis and a tour in the historical center of Bacoli. At the end of the day then you can taste the best of Phlegrean gastronomy at La Fontanina al Mare (Bacoli), Baya Restaurant (Monte di Procida), Abraxas (Pozzuoli) and Il Testardo - Locanda Atipica (Bacoli).

Day 5 - Historic Center of Naples

Those who prefer to stay in Naples can instead take advantage of one of the many Movery tours that wind through the streets and alleys of the historic center. You can start with a'excursion into street art through the Spanish quarters. The 2-hour walk starts from Piazzetta Matilde Serao and together with an experienced guide you will see lots of murals and open-air works of art. Day 6 - Vesuvius and Pompeii

Other must-see stops for your week in Campania are, of course, the Vesuvius, the dormant volcano overlooking the Bay of Naples from above, and Pompeii, the city buried by the Vesuvian eruption of 79 AD. To see the two attractions on the same day we suggest this Vesuvius and Pompeii excavations tour with transfer from Naples. In the morning you will be picked up from your hotel in Naples and on board a minivan you will reach the Vesuvius National Park, and then begin the ascent to the crater. You will be able to explore the area freely, and once the excursion is over, you will move on to Pompeii for lunch. After eating, you will enter the archaeological park for an audio-guided tour. Before returning to your hotel in Naples, you can stop for dinner at one of the Vesuvian area eateries such as La bettola del gusto, Mercato Pompeiano, and Pizzeria Vincenzo Capuano.

Day 7 - Amalfi Coast

For your last day in Campania, you cannot miss a tour of the Amalfi Coast. You can book a minivan day in Sorrento and the Amalfi Coast departing from Naples. Around 10:00 a.m. you will arrive at Sorrento and here you'll have an hour to walk around the historic center and see Badger Square. Then you will reach Positano, where you will see the wonderful Church of the Assumption and its picturesque alleys. You will then continue on to Amalfi and here you cannot fail to see the splendid St. Andrew's Cathedral. Finally, you will arrive at Ravello to admire Villa Rufolo and Villa Cimbrone. Once the tour is over, we suggest you dine in the area at Da Nonno Alfonso (Ravello), Ristorante La Sponda (Positano) or La Taverna del Duca (Amalfi).
