After the success of the first season, the second part of the wonderful series also The brilliant friend, based on the novel of the same name by Elena Ferrante, won the hearts of viewers.

We know very well that Naples, and in particular the Luzzatti Ward by Gianturco are the focus of the series, yet in the second season there is another very important place for our protagonists Lila and Lenu: Ischia.

Lenu's first vacation: a summer in Ischia.

Already in the first season, specifically in the sixth episode of the series, Lenu goes on vacation to Ischia, under the advice of teacher Oliviero, who tells her, "You are pale, you need to take baths, get some sun."

Having just arrived in Ischia, Lenù disembarks at the pier of Ischia Ponte. In the scene you can see in the background the beautiful Aragonese Castle. The young woman goes to the home of Nella Icardo, a cousin of the schoolteacher and owner of apartments she used to rent in the summer. Lenù will be able to stay at Mrs. Icardo's house in exchange for her service.

Mrs. Icardo's house is located in Barano d'Ischia, in the Borgo di Testaccio, more specifically at Giorgio Corafà Street, first via del Commercio.

From there, you can see in the background the famous Castle that sits on the top of the islet of Sant'Angelo d'Ischia, once a fishing village.

Moving on in the episode, Lenù meets the Sarratore family, with whom she will go to the sea. In fact, all together, they pass through via Iesca, a very steep path from which they can reach the Maronti beach. However, the scenes filming our protagonists at the sea are shot in Sperlonga, in the Latium.

At the end of the episode, Lenu returns to Naples, embarking once again to Ischia Ponte, ready to rescue her friend Lila, involved in difficult situations in the Luzzatti Ward.

The two protagonists disembark at the pier in Ischia Ponte and are staying in the beautiful Villa Leone, in Panza, a hamlet of Forio.
