In Naples this fall you can see the futuristic Balloon Museum, a very interesting contemporary art exhibition that hosts many works and installations in which air is the main element.

This highly original and extraordinary exhibition also makes a stop in the Neapolitan capital, specifically at the Overseas Exhibition, but it has already been successfully hosted in other major cities around the world such as Rome, Madrid, Paris, Los Angeles and New York. The Balloon Museum opened last September and can be visited until December.

What is the Balloon Museum and what works it houses

The Balloon Museum has also opened its doors in Naples, and it is a unique art project. It was conceived by the winning idea of a group of specialists who put together a contemporary art exhibition In which the real protagonist is air.

As the name of the traveling museum suggests, the exhibits are characterized by their curious shapes and size and are all designed for interaction with the public. In fact, the Balloon Museum offers an interactive and exhibition route in a tactile and dynamic form to connect visitors with art and promote socialization.

The Balloon Museum is present at the Mostra d'Oltremare at Via Terracina, 197 Sept. 22 through Dec. 7. Art lovers and the curious in general will be able to interact with these beautiful installations according to the following schedule:

  • Monday through Thursday from 2:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. (last entry at 8:00 p.m.)
  • Friday from 2:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. (last entry at 9:00 p.m.)
  • Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. (last entry at 9:00 p.m.)
  • Sunday from 10:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. (last entry at 8:00 p.m.)

As for tickets, however, here are the fees to access the museum:

  • Full price for adults over 26: €18
  • Reduced 12-26 years old and over 65: 16 €
  • Reduced for children 4-12 years old: 14 €
  • Reduced Family 4 (2 adults and 2 children under 12): €12.50
