About this activity

A wonderful walk among the fragrant lemon groves of the Amalfi Coast: the Lemon Trail, formerly one of the busiest routes on the coast, is mainly used for the cultivation of these citrus fruits.

The route is a ring of terraces perched on the hillside that divides Minors and Maiori. Starting from Maiori, between ascents and descents you will pass through a rich and varied Mediterranean scrub vegetation and go around the village of Tower.

Step by step you will enjoy a beautiful view among lemon trees and quaint little houses. Along the way you will be able to visit a lemon grove, sampling local products.

At the end of the trail you will have the opportunity to enjoy a delicious organic lunch at a local farm or have a nice picnic surrounded by nature.

How to get there

Reaching the meeting point by public transportation

From Piazza Garibaldi station in Naples take a train to Salerno. Get off at Salerno. From Piazza Veneto take bus 5120 Salerno - Maiori - Amalfi and get off at Maiori. Walk for 5 minutes to head to the meeting point. The journey by vehicle about 2 hours and 15 minutes.

Reaching the meeting point by car.

From Naples Piazza Garibaldi take A3. Follow A3 until you reach Angri. Take the Angri exit. Follow SP2b and SP2a in the direction of Corso Reginna and you will arrive at your destination. The route takes about 1 hour and 15 minutes.

Super good lemonade!

A day to absolutely repeat. The trail was quite easy, it lasted about 3 hours and the trail is the most beautiful thing I did during my vacation. To end it could not miss the super delicious lemonade. Kudos to the tour guide great professional.

Walkable with a bit of effort, even in the early afternoon, we did the stretch from Minori to Maiori: splendid, of course, the views, especially of Minori on the initial side and the lemon groves halfway up, but also beautiful is the village of Torre about a third of the way up, complete with church and various attractions. Be prepared for many steps, but few really rough spots.

Beautiful day

A path completely surrounded by greenery that goes from Maiori to Minori and vice versa. Characteristic to do especially in periods that are not very hot and preferably in March that sees the blooming of the lemons typical of the coast that give a very special color and scent to the path. It is greatly embellished by breathtaking scenery and views and the encounter with the farm that will quench your thirst with lemonade, lemon salad and bread with lemon marmalade. Beware only of the steps, they are many but well worth it. Recommended experience.
