The hiking trail begins in the upper part of the municipality of Vico Equense and is not particularly challenging to tackle as it straddles the hilly and urban areas.

Therefore, we start from the village of Saint Savior, and then move through the Via della Madonna delle Grazie, until you reach the village of Sperlonga, where there is a beautiful natural spring. You will walk along an ancient path that shows the features of the typical Mediterranean countryside. Once you reach Sperlonga, you will make your way back to San Salvatore.

The Sperlonga trail is about 5.5 km long and the experience will last about 4 hours with an elevation gain of 110 meters. It is good to wear comfortable clothing, hiking shoes and bring water. Along the way you will notice several viewpoints that offer an enchanting spectacle that is hard to forget. For those who wish, then, it is possible to request a tasting of local products at a local historic dairy.

How to reach the meeting point by car

From Piazza Garibaldi, take Corso Lucci and Via Ferraris to turn onto the A3. Continue for 22 km on the A3 to the exit for Castellammare di Stabia. Continue on SS145 for 15 km and take the exit for Vico Equense. Advance on Corso Filangieri, Viale della Rimembranza, Via S. Ciro, Via Caccioppoli and Via Santa Sofia. Finally, proceed along Via Bosco, Via Massaquano and Via S. Salvatore.

How to reach the meeting point by public transportation

From Naples Central Station take the Sorrento line of the Circumvesuviana and get off at the Seiano stop. Walk to Via Murrano and take bus 009 to Vico Equense. Then get off at the Vico Equense San Salvatore stop.
