About this tour

Vesuvius National Park is one of Campania's most fascinating naturalistic gems. With Movery you will have the chance to admire the ancient volcano through a truly exciting and fun experience. The departure of the Vesuvius tours starts at 11 a.m. from a meeting point in Sorrento.

From here, you will move in the direction of Vesuvius National Park to reach the cone crater at an altitude of 1,281 meters, from which there is a spectacular view of the Gulf of Naples. Suggestive and impressive, the nature reserve is nonetheless dotted with various vineyards and farms.

Not surprisingly, the first leg of the tour takes place at a vineyard local on the slopes of Vesuvius to enjoy an excellent glass of wine, to which will be added a light lunch with dishes of Neapolitan gastronomy. Following this, the day continues with a visit to the majestic cone that will last about two hours. Once the activity is over, you will return to Sorrento in the early afternoon.

How to get there

How to reach the meeting point by car

From Piazza Garibaldi drive along Corso Lucci and Via Ferraris to take the A3. After 20 km take the exit for Castellammare di Stabia and enter the SS145. After 20 km continue straight on Corso Italia. Then turn left onto Via Fuorimura and then right onto Viale Caruso. After 200 meters turn left into Piazza Tasso.

How to reach the meeting point by public transportation

From Naples Central Station, take the Naples-Sorrento line of the Circumvesuviana and get off at the Sorrento stop. Then continue on Via Marziale and turn left onto Corso Italia. After about 200 meters enter Piazza Tasso.
