  • The meeting point is Via Contrada Osservatorio in Ercolano

  • It is possible to carry out the excursion on route 600 (easy, from 6 years) or on route 100 (medium, from 9 years)

  • Route 1000 does not lead to the crater

  • Reservations cancelled within 72 hours will entitle to a full refund

  • Reservations cancelled within 48 hours entitle the 60% to a refund.

  • Reservations canceled less than 24 hours before the event will not receive a refund

  • If the established number is not reached, you will be entitled to a refund or it is possible to postpone a new date

About this activity

To give yourself an evocative and spectacular experience, don't miss this fun and fascinating experience night excursion to the Vesuvius National Park. The trekking activity allows you to experience one of the most magical evenings in a splendid setting.
For this event called Vesuvius under the stars the departure is scheduled for 7pm and there is the possibility to choose between two different routes. The route 600 is nestled in the heart of the Vesuvius Park and moves on a mostly flat path, taking you into the middle of the Mediterranean forest on the north side of Vesuvius.
You will be able to see it up close biodiversity of the most famous volcanic habitat in the world and you will arrive in a panoramic clearing, from where you will admire a magnificent view of the Gulf of Naples. After sunset you will see the stars emerge in the summer sky to enjoy stories and legends that will make you daydream.
Instead the route 1000 almost allows you to touch the sky with a finger. In fact, it will give you beautiful plays of light and you will walk along a contact area between Vesuvius and Monte Somma. In this case the difficulty per trail is slightly higher, but nothing as challenging.

    How to reach the meeting point by car
    From Piazza Garibaldi take Corso Lucci and Via Ferraris to take the A3. Continue for 10 km until the exit for Ercolano. Continue along Via Cupa Monti and after about 2 km turn onto Via Vesuvio and Contrada Osservatorio. Continue for 3 km to the headquarters of the Vesuvio Natura Association to explore.
    How to reach the meeting point with public transport
    From Naples central station, take the Sorrento Circumvesuviana line and get off at the Pompei Scavi Villa dei Misteri stop. Take bus 808 and get off in Ercolano at the Via Vesuvio stop. Continue on foot for 200 meters on SP114 until Via Contrada Osservatorio.

    Experience to live

    Il Parco Nazionale del Vesuvio offre uno scenario incredibile per un trekking al tramonto. Oltre alla bellezza naturale del percorso, è affascinante pensare alla storia vulcanica di questo luogo. Il sentiero è facilmente percorribile, anche per chi non è abituato a lunghe camminate. La vista che si apre arrivando in cima, con il sole che cala e illumina il cratere del Vesuvio, è un momento che lascia senza parole. Consiglio di portare con sé un binocolo per osservare da vicino i dettagli del cratere e della costa sottostante. Un'esperienza che unisce storia, natura e una vista mozzafiato!

    Trekking al tramonto sul vesuvio spettacolare

    Trekking al tramonto nel Parco Nazionale del Vesuvio è stato davvero speciale. Il percorso è ben mantenuto e offre una vista spettacolare sul Golfo di Napoli e sul cratere del Vesuvio. Camminare durante le ore del tramonto regala una luce calda e avvolgente che rende l'esperienza ancora più suggestiva. Il mio consiglio è di portare una bottiglia d'acqua e di indossare scarpe comode, poiché alcune parti del sentiero possono essere un po' scivolose. Nonostante il numero di persone presenti, l'atmosfera rimane tranquilla e rilassante, perfetta per concludere la giornata con una vista panoramica indimenticabile.
