An evocative guided tour of a traditional lemon grove in the Sorrento Peninsula, immersed in the scents and colors of a unique land. Here you will have the opportunity to get up close and personal with the prized Oval Lemon of Sorrento/Massa Lubrense, grown exclusively in this area and recognized with the IGP mark, a symbol of excellence and quality.
During the tour, an expert guide will accompany you to discover the ancient cultivation techniques handed down from generation to generation, illustrating the characteristics of the typical straw covers ("pagliarelle") that protect lemon groves, the seasonal cycle of the plant and the harvesting stages. You will learn more about the history of this extraordinary citrus fruit, its connection to the land and its use in traditional and contemporary cuisine, as well as in the production of artisanal specialties.
The experience ends with a pleasant moment of tasting: homemade jams di lemon, Provolone del Monaco cheese, lemon-flavored extra virgin olive oil, Sorrento walnuts and, to finish, a glass of homemade limoncello, served cold according to tradition. An authentic experience combining nature, culture and local flavors.
