Salerno it's not just the city of Artist Lights, which give it great popularity and influx of tourists. There are many interesting places to visit, from scenic Arechi Castle to the romantic seafront, the extent of which seems even greater to us if we peek out from one of the downtown streets, dense with the lights and scents of the locals.
This is where the Salerno Medical School, one of the cultural beacons of the Western Middle Ages, a center for the spread of Greek and Arabic medicine, where the foundations of modern medicine were laid and where, for the first time, women physicians were allowed access.
