Sea Out is now an undisputed cult hit on Italian television and is a minor sociocultural phenomenon among Gen-Z kids. The TV series set in the Naples juvenile prison has been enthralling millions of viewers for years, with record numbers on both streaming and television, thanks to the power of its stories and the skill of the actors.
And it is precisely among the most youth that the drama has found its ideal audience, grinding out views, posts and comments on Instagram, TikTok and the other social media. Maria Esposito, Matteo Paolillo, Massimiliano Caiazzo and the other kids have become real star and although some of them over time have left the series, they are still remembered for their iconic characters.
Sea Out is set to land once again on our screens with the highly anticipated fifth season that once again promises to leave us with bated breath. Here is everything we know about Sea Out 5.
Where were we
The new season picks up exactly where Mare Fuori 4 left off with its dramatic finale. After giving up on Carmine, Rosa Ricci is alone in having to face the weight of her family and the Camorra clan to which she belongs. Lacking certainty, she will be forced to make difficult decisions to defend her role as the desire for revenge for her father's death becomes more and more unwieldy.
Meanwhile, inside the Naples IPM, the balance among the young residents is increasingly precarious. The secrecy surrounding the alleged death of Edward threatens to bring everything down, fueling tensions between those who want to hide the truth and those who want to bring it to light. Between alliances, suspicions, and betrayals, the boys in the juvenile prison will be grappling with new challenges that will test their courage and loyalty.

Additions and new characters
With the fifth season of Mare Fuori comes new changes in the cast of the TV series, mainly due to the departure of Maximilian Caiazzo who lent his face to Carmine. The character will find no space in the new episodes, leaving doubts about his fate. His absence, however, will open the way for new stories, and we are also expecting new entrants.
For example, we have Simone (Alfonso Capuozzo), a young man with a mysterious past and Thomas (Manuele Velo), a boy from Vomero who grew up in wealth but resents the criminal world. There will then be Samuel (Francis Luciani) and Frederick (Francesco Di Tullio), two inmates from the north whom everyone is afraid of because of their predisposition to violence.
When does Mare Fuori 5 start?
Once again this year, the new season of Sea Out will air in two phases. The first 6 episodes will be available from March 12 at Raiplay PREVIEW. From March 26 Instead, the drama will land on Rai 2 in prime time. On this same day, the last 6 episodes will be uploaded to the streaming platform.
