Based on the stories of Maurizio de Giovanni, Mina September is the new Italian TV series with record ratings.

From the moment it begins A night in Naples, the Pink Martini song chosen as the theme song, we feel like strolling around, delving into the wonderful meanders of this magical city.

That is precisely why we reconstructed the places where the protagonist, played by Serena Rossi, he lives his adventures.

A set entirely set in the heart of Naples

Although the places explored by the protagonist are many, one of the most frequently filmed locations is definitely the Old Town of the city of Naples, and, in particular the Sanità District.

In fact, Mina, the main character, works as a social worker at the Counseling Center, which is located within the Sanfelice Palace.

Another place taken up in the series is San Gregorio Armeno, where for a few scenes the main character walks around on Christmas Day.

A walk through the heart of the oldest part of Partenope is definitely a must for most Neapolitans, and what's more, for years it has been the place that has most attracted hordes of tourists curious to discover the tradition of the neapolitan nativity scene.

It is not only the Naples ancient the nerve center of filming. In fact, there are scenes that are often shot in the Management Center, near the Palace of Justice, where Mina's husband Claudio works.

Around the city but not only: the sea as co-star of the series

Filming is often set on the waterfront, one of the most attractive areas of Naples.

Not only the waterfront of Mergellina and Castel dell'Ovo, but also the Borgo dei Marinari, passing through the Beverello Pier and the Royal Yacht Club Canottieri Savoia A.S.D..

In the second episode, in addition, the protagonist spends New Year's Eve with her colleague Domenico, going on a sailing boat tour of the Gulf of Naples and offering us spectators a wonderful view from the sea of the entire city.

Also shown in episode number 10 is the Shrine of St. Mary Frances And the fertility chair.

A tour of Naples retracing the places of the series

Do you want to feel like Mina September walking through Naples for a day? We decided to reconstruct a special route for fans of the series!

Starting from Street of the Thousand, where Mina's house is located, you can take the funicular to the Corso Vittorio Emanuele, to arrive at Montesanto Square.

The square is only one stop away, but to beguile the short wait you can listen to the famous Neapolitan song Funiculì, funiculà sung by Luigi Denza and definitely suitable for this tour.

Once the run is over, if you feel like walking, it is possible to go as far as the Sanità District, until Sanfelice Palace, just as Mina does every day to go to work.

Do you want an alternative? From Montesanto Square, you can go all the way to Toledo Street, where at the beginning you will find the Doria d'Angri Palace, another place captured in the fiction, and why not, if you are in the mood for a walk, passing through Plebiscite Square and the Royal Palace, and going down Via Cesario Console, you will find yourself at the very beginning of the wonderful Neapolitan waterfront.

In the series we see all of Naples but there is no shortage of excursions from the surrounding area, for example to the Amalfi Coast, when Mina goes there with Domenico.
