About this activity

It is the road that, according to legend, was traveled by Greek gods to save Ulysses from mermaids: which is why it is called today Path of the Gods, also celebrated by the writer Italo Calvino as "that road suspended over the magical gulf of the Sirens, still furrowed by memory and myth."

For years a mule track before the Bourbons made the current coastal road, today the route is a wonderful hiking trail. You will be able to admire one of the most impressive views in the world.

We will walk for about 5 hours, surrounded by greenery, suspended between heaven and earth, sea and mountain, until we reach the village of Positano.

The route starts from Agerola, which has been famous for centuries for its fiordilatte, smoked provola and ricotta cheese. It will continue for the Cookie Cave, the locations of There Cannati and Serra Hill, skirting the sea above Praiano and the convent of St. Dominic, an extraordinary itinerary where you will encounter several springs of fresh drinking water, as well as numerous scenic terraces from which to admire the Faraglioni of the island of Capri, the island Li Galli and the Lattari Mountains, Praiano and Positano. Some narrow streets are still traveled today by the peasants; you may come across them, especially in summer, accompanied by mules loads of fruits and vegetables.

In short, it will be an unforgettable experience, a hike that follows an ancient path on rocks overlooking the sea, surrounded by the scents of the maquis, between rurality and sublime scenery, between myths and legends.
