  • The excursion lasts approximately 3 hours and departure is scheduled for 7:00 pm

  • The meeting point is Via Contrada Osservatorio in Ercolano

  • It is possible to carry out the excursion on route 600 (easy, from 6 years) or on route 100 (medium, from 9 years)

  • Route 1000 does not lead to the crater

  • Reservations cancelled within 72 hours will entitle to a full refund

  • Reservations cancelled within 48 hours entitle the 60% to a refund.

  • Reservations canceled less than 24 hours before the event will not receive a refund

  • If the established number is not reached, you will be entitled to a refund or it is possible to postpone a new date

About this activity

To give yourself an evocative and spectacular experience, don't miss this fun and fascinating experience night excursion to the Vesuvius National Park. The trekking activity allows you to experience one of the most magical evenings in a splendid setting.
For this event called Vesuvius under the stars the departure is scheduled for 7pm and there is the possibility to choose between two different routes. The route 600 is nestled in the heart of the Vesuvius Park and moves on a mostly flat path, taking you into the middle of the Mediterranean forest on the north side of Vesuvius.
You will be able to see it up close biodiversity of the most famous volcanic habitat in the world and you will arrive in a panoramic clearing, from where you will admire a magnificent view of the Gulf of Naples. After sunset you will see the stars emerge in the summer sky to enjoy stories and legends that will make you daydream.
Instead the route 1000 almost allows you to touch the sky with a finger. In fact, it will give you beautiful plays of light and you will walk along a contact area between Vesuvius and Monte Somma. In this case the difficulty per trail is slightly higher, but nothing as challenging.

    How to reach the meeting point by car
    From Piazza Garibaldi take Corso Lucci and Via Ferraris to take the A3. Continue for 10 km until the exit for Ercolano. Continue along Via Cupa Monti and after about 2 km turn onto Via Vesuvio and Contrada Osservatorio. Continue for 3 km to the headquarters of the Vesuvio Natura Association to explore.
    How to reach the meeting point with public transport
    From Naples central station, take the Sorrento Circumvesuviana line and get off at the Pompei Scavi Villa dei Misteri stop. Take bus 808 and get off in Ercolano at the Via Vesuvio stop. Continue on foot for 200 meters on SP114 until Via Contrada Osservatorio.

    Tramonto spettacolare con questa fantastica esperienza

    Trekking al tramonto nel Parco Nazionale del Vesuvio è stata un'esperienza davvero unica. Il sentiero è ben segnato e offre una vista mozzafiato sia sul cratere del Vesuvio che sulla costa sottostante. Il momento del tramonto regala colori spettacolari e un'atmosfera magica. La discesa può essere un po' più impegnativa al buio, quindi è utile portare con sé una torcia. L'unico consiglio è di portare con voi acqua sufficiente e di indossare scarpe comode, perché alcune parti del sentiero possono essere un po' scivolose. Un'esperienza che vale sicuramente la pena di vivere!

    Emozioni al calar del sole

    Fare trekking al tramonto nel Parco Nazionale del Vesuvio è un'esperienza che consiglio a tutti gli amanti della natura e delle escursioni. Il sentiero è abbastanza agevole e ben curato, adatto a famiglie e a escursionisti di tutti i livelli. L'atmosfera che si crea con il tramonto è magica: vedere il sole che scompare dietro il profilo del Vesuvio è qualcosa che non si dimentica facilmente. Il contrasto tra il rosso del tramonto e il blu del mare è semplicemente spettacolare. Non dimenticate di portare con voi acqua e una giacca leggera, poiché la temperatura può calare rapidamente una volta che il sole è tramontato.

    Il trekking al tramonto nel Parco Nazionale del Vesuvio è stata una delle esperienze più rilassanti e rigeneranti che abbia mai vissuto. Il percorso è ben segnalato e offre molteplici punti panoramici dove fermarsi ad ammirare la vista. Durante la salita, si può godere della flora e della fauna locale, che al calar del sole sembrano prendere vita in un modo unico. L'unico consiglio è di iniziare la camminata con largo anticipo per avere il tempo di raggiungere i punti migliori prima che il sole tramonti completamente. Una torcia potrebbe essere utile per il ritorno, quando la luce naturale è ormai scarsa.
