Opening hours are approximate and subject to change. Sunday through Friday hours are 10:00 am - 2:00 pm with last entry around 1:15 pm. Saturday hours are 10:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. with last admission around 4:15 p.m. The upper church is free admission while the museum and hypogeum require a ticket including guided tour
The Santa Chiara Monumental Complex(which includes the majolica cloister and museum) is not free: to visit the cloister, museum and archaeological area you pay a ticket. The full price is about €7.00, with reduced and special rates for students, schools and concessionary categories. The basilica within the complex has free admission (no ticket required) and has different opening hours than the cloister/museum
The St. Clare Monumental Complex (cloister, museum, and archaeological area) is open Monday through Saturday from 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. with last entry about 30 minutes before closing, Sundays and holidays from 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. with last entry about half an hour before closing. The Basilica of St. Clare is open daily morning 7:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. and afternoon 4:30 p.m. to 8 p.m.
