About this activity

Naples Champion of Italy 2024/2025: Fourth Scudetto sets the city ablaze

Napoli is back to winning ways. On May 23, 2025, the blue club lifted its fourth Scudetto to the sky, consecrating itself once again Champion of Italy. Two years after the unforgettable triumph of 2023, the Neapolitan team has written a new chapter in its history, confirming itself among the greats of Italian soccer.

The victory came on the last day, in a packed and tension-filled Maradona against Cagliari. An entire city with bated breath, linked by squares, balconies, bars and big screens, followed every moment of that match. And when the referee whistled the end, a roar went through Naples, from the hills of the Vomero to the depths of the alleys of the Spanish Quarter.

Within minutes, the streets were filled with flags, fireworks and choirs: the city turned into a huge open-air party. New banners, pennants with the number 4, blue and white decorations invaded every corner of Naples and the province. Scenes already seen in 2023, but which never cease to excite.

In keeping with tradition, even San Gregorio Armeno celebrated the protagonists of this season. Alongside the shepherds of the nativity scene, the figurines by Antonio Conte, the team's leader, President De Laurentiis, and Scott McTominay, star of the league and beating heart of the blue midfield.

It was in this climate of euphoria that the first celebratory tour, an exciting journey that started from Plebiscite Square and winding through the symbolic places of the Azzurri celebration: the scenic steps of Vico Colonne in Cariati, adorned with banners and footballers' cartoons; the small "erupting" Vesuvius in the Spanish Quarters, beating heart of the Parthenopean dream; the streets of Spaccanapoli filled with color and passion; and San Gregorio Armeno, where the famous workshops have given life to new figurines dedicated to the protagonists of the Scudetto.

But the symbol that will remain engraved in the collective memory is the statue by Diego Armando Maradona, six meters high, positioned in the Spanish Quarters. Created by artist Salvador Gaudenti and entitled. D10S, is a tribute to the eternal bond between Naples and its greatest idol. The inauguration, attended by former soccer player Pedro Pablo Pasculli, moved an entire generation of fans.

The new Scudetto does not erase, but completes the magic of 2023. Then, after 33 years of waiting, Naples dreamed again. Today, the dream continues, stronger than ever. And the celebratory tour is also renewed: from Piazza del Plebiscito to the Maradona, via spontaneous artworks in the alleys and new installations, the path of Napoli is transformed into a path to be lived, told, shared.

It's not just a team winning. It is a people celebrating, a city vibrating in unison, an identity that recognizes itself in the blue colors. Naples does not forget, Naples is not satisfied. And with this fourth Scudetto, it once again writes its own history.
