You absolutely have to pass by Procida Even if you haven't seen The Postman!
The beach of Pozzo Vecchio, later renamed "The Postman's Beach", was the scene of this masterpiece together with the village of Marina Corricella.
The island, chosen by Massimo Troisi and Micheal Radford, however, is not only known for being the set of this timeless film. Procida is an island rich in traditions, with villages with houses all colorful, typical taverns frying fresh fish and with the scent of citrus fruits squeezed in the kiosks.
There are numerous buildings to be seen, for example, in the village of Walled Earth we find Avalos Palace, the Santa Margherita Monastery and the Santa Maria delle Grazie Shrine.
Reaching Procida is easy, full of wonderful beaches with crystal clear water, such as that of Chiaia and the Chiaiolella beach, the island is well connected by ferries and hydrofoils with the island of Ischia and with the cities of Naples and Pozzuoli.
