Oktoberland - Edenlandia
In the second weekend of October at theEdenlandia autumn is celebrated in full Bavarian style. In fact, from Oct. 9 to 12 event will be held Oktoberland which combines the German Oktoberfest tradition with Neapolitan flavors. It is a festival entirely dedicated to beer, and for the occasion there will be plenty of stands where you can taste beer and pretzels. Pollena Trocchia - Catalanesca Festival
In Pollena Trocchia Saturday 11 and Sunday, October 12 The appointment with the Catalanesca Festival is back. The fair on the slopes of Vesuvius is dedicated entirely to a product that is a symbol of Vesuvian agriculture, such as thecatalanesca grape from Monte Somma. Teano - CioccolaTeano 2025
On the weekend of theOct. 11 and 12 Teano will host the CioccolaTeano event. The streets of the historic center of the Caserta town welcome the event that is organized every year by the town's Pro Loco. The festival is dedicated to the world of handmade chocolate and is perfect for those with a sweet tooth. Here you will find plenty of food stands with master chocolatiers presenting their chocolate-based creations. There are tastings, show cooking, workshops and events for the little ones.
Valle di Maddaloni - Feast of the Annurca Apple
The long-awaited Annurca Apple Festival in Maddaloni is back again this year. Now in its 31st edition, the festival will take place on the 17-18-19 and Oct. 24-25-26. The center of the town becomes the heart of a huge stage of flavors, traditions and culture, and the great protagonist will be the black apple declined in a thousand different ways. Stalls and stands with typical products and dishes prepared with this tasty fruit are planned.
Roccamonfina - PGI chestnut and porcini mushroom festival
In Roccamonfina, the month of October sees the enhancement of the chestnut IGP and the cep mushroom thanks to a local festival to be held every weekend until Sunday, November 2. This event is the only festival in southern Italy to be included in the national project "Sicurezza Prodotti Agroalimentari Tradizionali nelle Sagre," and here you will be able to taste lots of local chestnut and mushroom dishes.
Avellino
Avella - Avellana Chestnut and Hazelnut Festival
From Oct. 10 to 12 and from the Oct. 17 to 19 The long-awaited Sagra della castagna e della nocciola avellana (chestnut and hazelnut festival) returns and will take place in the historic center of Avella, a small town in Irpinia. The event offers visitors a vast gastronomic itinerary with music and flavors of the territory. The main protagonist will be above all the hazelnut, chestnuts, walnuts, extra virgin olive oil, wild boar and mushrooms. All these ingredients are used to cook typical local dishes that can be tasted at the special stands.
Bagnoli Irpino - The Black of Bagnoli
The Bagnoli Irpino Black Truffle Exhibition Market has reached its 46th edition. The festival promoted by the Pro Loco Bagnoli Laceno will take place on the weekends Oct. 17-19 and Oct. 24-26 and the absolute protagonist will be the black truffle of Bagnoli, to which are added porcini mushrooms, chestnuts and local dairy products. The festival is also a good opportunity to admire the Irpinian village and discover its scenic wonders.
Montella - Chestnut Festival
One of the most anticipated events in Campania in October is certainly the Montella Chestnut Festival. This year's event awaits you Oct. 31 to Nov. 2 and Nov. 7 to 9. The beautiful historic center of the town in the province of Avellino becomes a huge open-air restaurant, where you can find the excellent local chestnuts, but also hanged caciocavallo cheese and truffle dishes at the more than 100 stands you will find along the streets of the town.
San Potito Ultra - Wild Boar and Chestnut Festival
The San Potito Ultra Wild Boar and Chestnut Festival is now in its 28th year and awaits you in the Irpinia locality on October 10, 11 and 12. Every corner of the village is filled with lights and colors, and there will be no shortage of live music, wine and lots of food. You will be able to try the chestnut log, pork and wild boar barbecues, the scialatielli with wild boar ragout, roasted chestnuts and popular local sweets.
Benevento
Cusano Mutri - Mushroom Festival
With the arrival of autumn, the town of Cusano Mutri becomes more populated thanks to the Mushroom Festival which annually attracts thousands of people from all over the province. Here you can appreciate the customs and traditions of craftsmanship and gastronomy of the pearl of the Matese Park. The Mushroom Festival features typical dishes prepared with the renowned local porcini mushroom. The event awaits you until the October 12.
Dugenta - Wild Boar Festival
On weekends from spring to fall, the Dugenta Wild Boar Festival, near Benevento. The event offers visitors excellent dishes cooked with wild boar and is one of the longest running in Campania. It is suitable for those who love this type of meat and want to taste it in a country festival atmosphere. The festival is waiting for you until the next November 2.
Arpaise - Festival of the Partenio Chestnut
The event will take place in Arpaise in Contrada Russi on the following days. Oct. 18 and 19 and is a festival that pays tribute to the Sannio chestnut, loved for its sweetness and versatility in cooking. You will experience two days of folklore and taste, completely immersed in the warm colors of autumn. Vitulano - Festival of the Chestnut and Pecorino Vitulanese
In October, the 23rd edition of the Castgna and Vitulanese Pecorino cheese festival, organized thanks to Pro Loco Camposauro. The appointment is for the weekend Oct. 31 to Nov. 2. Many local specialties that celebrate the richness of an unspoiled land await you here.
Salerno
Castellabate - Choco Italy on Tour
Castellabate is preparing to host the new edition of Choco Italia on Tour in Piazza Lucia di Santa Maria. It is a fair of the handmade chocolate, thanks to which you will be able to taste many sweets and chocolate preparations. From Oct. 17 to 19 from 10:00 a.m. and into the evening, the downtown streets will host the area's master chocolatiers.
Colliano - Truffle Exhibition Market
The most anticipated event is about to return to Colliano, a Cilento village in the province of Salerno. The Truffle Exhibition Market is scheduled to take place in. Oct. 9 to 12 and here you can taste many specialties prepared with this prized ingredient and other local products. In addition, you will also have a chance to taste other typical dishes of the local cuisine.
San Cipriano Picentino - Chestnut Festival
The autumn appointment in San Cipriano Picentino is renewed again this year. Oct. 24 to 27. For the forty-sixth year the Chestnut Festival will take place, a true sensory experience that will strike the palate of participants to lead them through a journey of discovery of authentic flavors. Among the streets of San Cipriano Picentino you will sense the scents of dishes cooked with the local chestnuts and there will be no shortage of porcini mushroom risotto, pan mbuss ndi fasul and calzoncelli.
