Are you in the mood for a relaxing, yet educational weekend? Then don't miss out on this fantastic weekend in the Phlegraean Fields that will take you between Pozzuoli and Bacoli to learn more about the history and traditions of the Phlegrean area. To begin with, you can decide to stay at Alma Holiday House by Movery, a beautiful apartment located within walking distance of the Pozzuoli waterfront.

The house is located within walking distance of Rione Terra and is an excellent base for exploring the Phlegrean area. Inside you will find a large living room, a double bedroom, a kitchen equipped with major appliances and a bathroom with shower. In addition, there are the main services and amenities such as free wi-fi connection, air conditioning/heating, safe, television and daily housekeeping service. For those who wish, it is also possible to have breakfast.

Once you have taken possession of the apartment, you can stop for lunch or dinner at the restaurant-pizzeria La Dea Bendata of Pozzuoli. Here you will have the opportunity to taste the best dishes of the Neapolitan food and wine tradition, thanks to a particularly rich and varied menu.

To enrich this first day, we suggest you book the tour of Puteoli Sacra which allows you to admire Pozzuoli Cathedral and the Diocesan Museum at Rione Terra, where you will see some of Artemisia Gentileschi's most beautiful works. Finally, you just have to come back to your B&B Alma Casa Vacanze by Movery for a restful sleep.

The second day of your weekend instead you can devote it to Bacoli, one of the main Phlegrean municipalities in which you can experience various very interesting excursions and activities. For example, we have come up with this guided tour of Bacoli which will take you on a tour of the city's most important tourist and archaeological sites. Specifically, you will see the Villa Comunale, Jorit's mural dedicated to the Cumana Sibyl, the Piscina Mirabilis, the Hundred Chambers, the Tomb of Agrippina, and the Church of St. Anne.

Equally beautiful is the tour of the archaeological excavations of Cumae with a visit to the Casina Vanvitelliana. The experience begins at the Archaeological Park of Cumae and you will observe the Antro della Sibilla Cumana, the Saracen Tower, the Temple of Apollo and the Temple of Jupiter. After the excavations you will move to the Casina Vanvitelliana, a Bourbon hunting lodge nestled on the shores of Lake Fusaro.

Also not to be missed is theguided excursion to the Roman Baths of Baia. This is a group of Roman villas scattered on a slope. Here you will admire some very impressive buildings, including Villa Ambulatio and the Baths of Mercury. To finish, we suggest a tours inside the Piscina Mirabilis. This archaeological site is an excellent example of Roman architecture, and in the past the cavity carved into the tufa served as a cistern to collect water. You will be fascinated by its high vaulted ceiling that resists the passage of time.
